It was an excellent location and the staff was loyal! It was great to be 20 mins walk from piazza venezia. Repubblica district won't disappoint you.
-
nice and clean small hotel in the city center! Excellent location - to all major attractions 20 minutes on foot. In addition, Termini Station is close by, where the airport Expresses come - 1 trip 14 euros, duration - 30 minutes, as well as near the metro station with the intersection of both branches of the... hotel itself is very nice and quiet... On the fifth floor there is an open terrace where breakfast is served and in the evening you can have a snack and drink wine. Rooms are clean and tidy. cleaned well, quickly and qualitatively, most wonderful thing about this hotel is the staff. All very friendly! nice and ready to help, Our airline lost luggage and we were very helpful - they gave us everything we needed. they called to clarify the status, Thank you very much... You have made our visit magical despite minor difficulties!
It is difficult to get from the station to the hotel with suitcases, as the whole road is paved with paving stones and tiles, so occasionally had to carry suitcases on weight. But this is not a problem of the hotel, but rather a feature of the city.

hotel as a whole is quite nice, welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. Cute roof terrace where you can have breakfast. Everything you need to have in your room. All things, good pillows, Beds were comfortable. Outlets are universal, no need for adapters. water pressure in the shower is good. Change of towels and cleaning daily. There's an elevator. location is ideal, near the central station and metro station Termini (5 minutes on foot), to the station Republika even closer. main attractions (Colosseum, Travi, Piazza España and Venice) are within 20 minutes walking distance, Vatican is 15 minutes by metro without interruptions. There are souvenir and alcohol shops near the hotel.
Breakfasts are very mediocre and completely monotonous. Of course you can't go hungry, but no one's going to enjoy it. Coffee and croissants, which were enthusiastically written about in previous reviews do not correspond to reality (lattes are not served, croissants the day before yesterday and something watered). The rooms are not new, purely in terms of repair and furnishings, but no serious comments. Toilet and toiletries are better to take their own. We needed the hotel was clean with the function of bed and breakfast, quite suitable, although breakfast leaves much to be desired ... Didn't really like to have to hand over the room keys to the reception, we, for example, then got mixed up and not from our room.

Great location, friendly reception staff, clean room
basic bathroom, clean but small

We thought the hotel itself was in a prime location, staff were wonderful esp. Anka at desk, and the server in the breakfast room. The hotel room was very clean, sheets were crisp and clean, and well lighted so you could read at night. Breakfast was fabulous every morning. Terrace was great for drinks, relaxing, etc.
Wifi was not reliable in hotel room or even in lobby or terrace. Restaurants in area were just ok.
-
I liked the location very much. Very convenient to all types of transportation. Several good restaurants in the area. Staff extremely helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the rooftop terrace and breakfast/leisure room.
It's not that I disliked it, but I would have liked a few more choices for breakfast--maybe some fresh fruit.

Friendlystaff, good location (handy for HOHO buses, Metro, Rail Station)
Wifi a bit intermittent, breakfast adequate but not fantastic.
-
I always enjoy the attention to service, cleanliness and easy location. Good value for money.
-
Starting each day off with having our breakfast up on the roof top was fantastic, enough selections. The staffs were awesome and remembered our coffee drinks each morning. We stayed for 4 nights. First time in Rome and glad that we took our friends recommendation and booked this hotel.
Shower tube was a little on the small size.

Hotel Columbia, is just 10 minutes walk from the railway station, which was very handy. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to the only room with a terrace which was very nice to have some outside space to relax after the busy days.
The Wi Fi was only available in my room if I stood next to the door, and it frequently dropped connection, which frustrated my 21 year old daughter. I thought the receptionist staff could have been more friendly and helpful to the guests, it would have improved the experience of staying there.
-
We enjoyed the roof terrace, the staff were efficient and friendly, also reception was very informative.
-
Location was great. We arrived by train so wanted something close to the Termini. It was an easy walk even with luggage. From the hotel we were able to walk to all the major tourist sites. We used the metro station around the corner for our Vatican trip. The room was a good size, clean & comfortable. And one of the best features: free wifi. Overall, very happy with our experience.

The friendly staff, good beds, wonderful terrace for breakfast and good location.
The bathroom was tired. We had to pay extra for one mornings freshly made scrambled eggs. We only found out about the extra cost when checking out.We had just thought it a very good included service. Most Hotels include this in the breakfast menu.
